SPRINGBOARD SIGNS HOSTING AGREEMENT WITH FORTUNECITY
January 24, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Springboard Managed Hosting (springboardhosting.com), a privately held provider of outsourced managed Web hosting, has announced that it has been awarded a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract from FortuneCity.com.
"FortuneCity is one of the very few Internet companies that have a leading market position in all the main world markets." Said Rich Lee, CEO of Springboard. "The fact that a global company generating 20 million unique visitors per monthly and registering close to 4,000 new users per day selected us is a major milestone in our growth plans for the company."
FortuneCity.com Inc. is an international network of personal publishing, content, utility, entertainment and technology properties, collectively called the FortuneCity Network. According to industry analysts Media Metrix and Neilson, FortuneCity ranks as one of the 20 largest Internet media companies in the world.
"Over the past several months we analyzed a wide range of managed services providers for our network, says Peter Macnee, FortuneCity CEO. We chose Springboard over the competition because they provide a unique combination of quality infrastructure, bandwidth, human expertise and security required to keep our network alive 24 by 7. And the fact that selecting a single source provider for all of our managed hosting services enabled us to streamline our operations and reduce out total hosting costs by over $30,000 per month is very significant."
According to Lee, "It's no secret that many of the data centers around the country are battling overcapacity and huge debt loads. We are debt free, profitable, and have a simple, straightforward and sustainable business strategy -- provide Internet enabled companies with customized, scalable and cost effective Web hosting, data storage and security solutions."
